Lebanese Environment

Say No to Plastic and Plant a Tree

Lebanon is suffering from many environmental issues. It is due to pollution and climate change. Pollution is increasing because of deforestation and the incorrect construction. And it is known that in Lebanon, organic waste and factories chemical pollution are mainly the bacterial pollution. This has played a big role in climate change.  This actually puts additional challenges for the Lebanese environment. Crops are affected as well as the water supplies. Recently Lebanese people have been trying to save their environment by performing campaigns and tv ads. Plastics are playing a huge role today, and its proven that we can live without plastics. A lot of organizations and schools are determined to make a difference and help change the world. The Lebanese environment is just one of the many environments that needs fixing. And for real though, recycling isn’t enough, all of the above stated causes should be taken actions against them

Education in Lebanon

When the Grading System dominates

Listed by the World Economic Forum's 2013 Global Information Technology Report, Lebanon rank 13th worldwide in education. The Lebanese system is divided into two sectors: school education and the university. Each divided into stages. School education starts with 6 years at primary, followed by 3 years at intermediate in which students take the Brevet Official Exam. Then the secondary education lasts for 3 years after the previous ones and students choose a general education (G.S, L.S, S.E, humanities) in which the student will take an Official Exam at their last year. Moving on to the university, it is divided into stages according the faculty chosen. The Lebanese education system is one of the hardest systems and it can be challenging. It needs full time hard work and focus. Any mistake will be owed by the student. The materials are hard, big, but by grace through faith success will be earned. And this world is unfair, look for the lesson in it all. However, education system in Lebanon never fails, and in Lebanon education will never end.

Home is Home

Two years ago, my family and I moved back home to Lebanon and although our experience as foreigners was pretty well, meeting folks from other part of the world, integrating into the local society and culture and much more, the thrill we fell being back in our county and surrounded by our families and our old friends overcame any feeling of regret of anxiety we had for coming back.
Of course, at the begging there was a period of adjustment, during which we felt lost because we weren’t used to our society’s lifestyle yet but by our second year there, life ran much more smoothly and we were increasingly integrated and loving our best life. After all, this is our home country and as they say “there’s no place like home”. Plus why don't we think as the former US President JFK said once : "  “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country " . What we learn and we explore it can be an added value for our country . ..
